DOVER, NH, OCTOBER ’16: Formax introduces the ColorMaxT4 and ColorMaxT5, two new additions which complement the ColorMax7 and ColorMaxLP, and expand the Digital Printing product line. These two multimedia printers offer brilliant, durable, dry-toner-based CMYK output, LED print heads and Clean Sheet print technology.
The ColorMaxT4 and T5 feature revolutionary multi-level LED print heads which control the amount of toner applied to each 1200-dpi dot, for fine detail across the entire document. High-capacity CMYK toner cartridges produce up to 38,000 pages, using dry toner which is durable, and ideal for envelopes out in the elements.
Each model includes a printer, two 530-sheet trays, a high-capacity envelope feeder, output conveyor, and a stand with casters for mobility. Designed with a straight feed path, the ColorMaxT4 and T5 provide Clean Sheet print technology, making each unit ideal for printing envelopes of all sizes. Both the T4 and T5 print up to 50 pages per minute and can handle a variety of stock, up to 360gsm, in sizes ranging from 3” x 5” index cards to 13” x 52” banners. This flexibility provides the ability to create envelopes, banners, mock-ups, stationery, invitations, brochures, and more.
The ColorMaxT5 has the ability to print CMYK plus White toner in a single pass. Using white toner allows users to print color-on-color and white-on-color, producing text and images that virtually pop right off the page.
User-friendly features include a color LCD control panel with alphanumeric keypad which displays real-time information on print jobs and toner levels, and a front-access consumables compartment, making toner changes quick and easy.
Options include a long paper tray for banner printing, and a 160GB hard disk kit.
